After suffering with chronic lower back pain for many years and trying several different medications for arthritis and pain, I started treatment with Dr. Burak on the recommendation of my daughter. She has been a hospital nurse for 20 years with back problems common to her profession. Her advice proved to be beneficial and I have become a firm believer in Dr. Mike and his great staff. Along with my chronic back pain, I have developed shoulder pain since I lost the use of one arm due to surgery and have since overused my left arm. Five (5) years ago, I moved to Huntingdon Valley and was introduced to Dr. Burak by my niece. I had developed severe degenerative disc disease in my upper and lower spine. The pain was so severe, I was going to quit my job and go on disability. I was scared, depressed and fearful that I was going to lose my ability to be independent and self-sufficient. Dr. Burak, who wanted to improve my "whole being" and with his skills and perceptiveness, gave me the support, treatment and the confidence to mentally and physically continue my job as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

How do you spell relief...Dr. Mike.  After twenty (20) years of standing on my feet I developed back, shoulder and heal pain.  It got worst after I began lifting my twin grand daughters---ouch---time to see Dr. Mike.  Dr. Mike and staff take care of me and make me feel like new. I am able to walk without pain and my neck and back feel much better. I trust Dr. Burak and recommend him to my family and friends.

 My wife and I have been going to Dr. Mike Burak for a few years now.  Although I have no particular problem, I find the treatments helpful, and my wife reports significant pain relieft. The combination of chiropractic and massage seems to be especially therapeutic.  Mike is a great guy and has a great staff, so we enjoy our visits.  This office is warm and friendly and appointments are easy to arrange.  We have recommended him to a number of our friends.

 I have been having such hip pain in just the right hip, really for months, but the last few weeks it was much more, and would wake me up at night, and make me feel I could hardly walk--I was even limping sometimes. I started to think I just was getting arthritis, and this is what I would have to deal with. Then I was reading something and it started to mention chiropractic, and I thought--boy--yes!! I haven't had anybody good in about 10 years, and so wasn't even thinking about that anymore. And I've been scared to just try a new person because my last experience (4-5 years ago with one in Glenside) was not good. Plus I'm adamant about not having x-rays, and I know a lot of them insist on that with new patients. Plus our insurance doesn't cover chiropractic, and I was afraid of high costs.

But the secretary at VCS had recommended this chiropractor to me months ago, and I never went and forgot about it, but then I remembered it and called. He is so nice! Very casual--it's not a private place. You can be getting an adjustment next to a guy lying on a table with wet heat on his back. The doctor is walking around saying to everyone--how're you doing? It's a very friendly atmosphere, and very comfortable. I told him no x-rays and he said fine. And if you don't have insurance, has has very affordable cash plans and discounts for family plans.

So I've been going every week now for about 3 weeks. I told him about the hip pain, and he seemed to know right where it would hurt, and said my pelvis is all screwed up, but fixable. I also now have $260 custom-made orthotics which, with the adjustments, have made a huge difference in how I feel. So, I feel thrilled with this. I did not want to go to the doctor and be told I had arthritis and be given anti-inflammatories and be on pain medication, etc.

So, I highly recommend him!
