Dr. Michael Burak
Dr. Burak received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in February 1996. He opened his office 3 months after graduating from Chiropractic school.
He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has been licensed in the state of Pennsylvania since his 1996 graduation. Upon graduation, he received many awards including the "clinical excellence award". He taught in the clinic, diagnosis and technique departments. He also interned for a local chiropractor who was a "Gonstead" practitioner.
While in school, he was also very active in the community. He was vice-president of his class, was a "big brother", president of the Jewish Student Union and active in S.A.D.D. He also graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S in the life sciences. in May of 1992.
He has taken many courses in various areas to be a diverse practitioner. These include sports injuries, nutrition, whiplash, lower back pain and biomechanics, rehabilitation and more. In 2009, he completed a certification course in "Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation" and has had success working with dogs, cats and horses to restore spinal motion to help arthritic pets, and even helped a paralyzed dog to walk again!! Dr. Mike's energetic and positive attitude helps his patients feel comfortable, confident and relaxed. We always feel that the office is a mix between "Cheers" and "Seinfeld". Although we have fun in the office, we offer the best quality of chiropractic in the area. Other chiropractors agree as they treat here themselves. One can say that he is the "chiropractors chiropractor". He works with other professionals in the area including veterinarians to give the best care to each patient that he works with. He treats patients as he would treat his own family because he believes that when you treat here, you are part of his family.In addition, Dr. Burak teaches in the Equine Department at Delaware Valley College.
Dr. Burak belongs to various organizations. Among them are the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, Pennsylvania State University Alumni Association,Palmer College of Chiropractic Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club He also supports many local charitable organizations and advertises in class yearbooks, play books and athletic books for many of the local schools.
Dr. Mike has been married to Marnie since October of 1999. They have 4 boys ranging from 3-18. Dr. Mike grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and graduated from George Washington High School in 1988. His Hobbies include spending time with his family, attending sporting events and concerts (especially country), and playing softball.
