Headaches

Chiropractic care has been the treatment of choice for headaches for decades.  Patients who have headaches ranging from cluster headaches to migraines to stress headaches have achieved significant relief from chiropractic treatment.  Finding the cause of the headache is instrumental in diagnosing and formulating a treatment plan.

Dr. Mike Burak utilizes a variety of diagnostic tools and treatment plans for patients suffering from these debilitating headaches.  On your first visit, we go through an extensive case history.  Full exam includes x-rays of the neck, palpation of the spine and surrounding muscles, and other hands-on testing. This exam aids in the formulation of diagnosis and proper treatment protocol.

Treatments include but are not limited to gentle chiropractic adjustments, massage, moist heat, electrical stimulation, and deep therapeutic laser which are all designed to reduce muscular tension.  The appropriate treatment will restore vertebral motion, reduce muscular tension which will inevitably will not only reduce and/or eliminate headaches, but will improve overall function and well-being.

Finding the cause of the headaches is paramount in treating them.  Over the counter medicines and prescription medications help reduce pain, but do not address the true cause of your headaches. Chiropractic adjustments can help you achieve sustained relief compared to the short-term benefits of medication.
